Meet Our Instructors

Anna discovered photography through a deep love for storytelling as a child. She would spend hours with her dad playing with different editing software and learning graphic designing through making materials for her parents' business on The Hill. What started as a personal hobby quickly grew into a passion, leading Anna to seek formal training at The Photo Pros and exploring various styles, from portraits to landscape, all the way to event and product photography.

Throughout their career, Anna has helped both young students and beginners unlock their potential. As a mentor, she guides students in developing their unique style and pushing creative boundaries. For clients, she focuses on delivering images that connect emotionally and reflect their vision, using expert skills in lighting, composition, and editing.

Whether teaching or working with clients, Anna is dedicated to making the world more vibrant, one photo at a time. She loves bringing students along to teach at her sessions and loves sharing the skills she has picked up along the way. Derek has been a photographer since his parents bought him a Kodak film camera at age 9, (which he still has by the way).

Derek moved on to 35mm cameras in the mid 70's. He was one of the newspaper and yearbook photographers (with Stephen), and won the Kodak Scholastic Award twice for the state of Missouri in 1980. He built a darkroom in the basement and learned to process and print.  Later he became a professional photographer,

after working as an assistant for several top photographers in St.Louis.

He started his own photography company DL Images and also went on the study graphic design and large format printing.

He has one of the largest film camera collections in St.Louis, and continues to shoot film as well as digital cameras.

Most of his work is black and white.

Derek recently joined the Photo Pros because he loves working with people, and enjoys helping them with their photography skills.

Derek was a previous Creve Coeur Camera employee and he continue to teach camera basics, film photography and more at the Photo Pros.

Manager, Photographer & Instructor

Mark was a 12 year employee with Creve Coeur Camera as their head buyer.  Like many people Marks interest in photography started many years before joining CCC.  Now as the manager of the store he has an incredible wealth of knowledge of most photography products, including camera brands and most accessories.  He can help you with making that decision of which to buy and why.  

Plus, Mark in his own right is a great photographer. Shooting sports (including football and NASCAR, landscapes, concerts and architecture.  Schedule a class with Mark to get the beginnings of your photographic career.

Adjunct Instructor & Photographer

Jorge has been studying photography for over 10 years and has become a published acomplished, photographer.  He loves travel, portrait, night and all types of photography.  

He is great at understanding the needs of each photographer and helping them to obtain finer skills.
