How to Pose and Direct Everyday Clients
We’ll break down exactly how we guide clients through those tricky-to-pose moments, whether it’s a nervous couple, a stiff senior portrait, or a shy family member who hates being photographed.
Come hang out with Jorge and Anna for a hands-on class about posing real, everyday people. Most people don’t know what to do in front of a camera, and that’s exactly where a great photographer steps in.
In this class, we’ll break down exactly how we guide clients through those tricky-to-pose moments, whether it’s a nervous couple, a stiff senior portrait, or a shy family member who hates being photographed. You’ll learn how to:
● Get your clients comfortable and confident in front of your lens!
● Direct hand placement and body angles in natural, flattering ways.
● Use prompts and humor to capture genuine expressions and emotions.
● Study the lighting and adjust as needed to flatter your subject, even when conditions aren’t what you thought they would be!
● Keep the energy moving so there’s never those awkward in-between moments.
We’ll work with a live model, giving you the chance to try our tips & tricks in real time. By the end, you’ll walk away with a toolkit of posing tricks, a better understanding of body language, and the confidence to handle any client that steps in front of your lens.
