Why are Ansel Adams photos so perfect?

Ansel Adams frequently revisited the same locations, particularly Yosemite National Park, many times. He returned to Yosemite every summer of his life, working there as a custodian and later as a photographer. The Ansel Adams Gallery notes that his first visit was in 1916, and he returned the next year with improved equipment. He continued to visit and photograph Yosemite, often climbing to reach optimal vantage points.

Stephen has explored Moab five times and Monument Valley ten times—so we know the rocks, the trails, and exactly where, when, and what to shoot. There will be minimal hiking involved, allowing you to focus entirely on your photography.

This all-inclusive trip covers:

• Breakfasts (at hotels when available, or on-location before sunrise shoots) and one meal in Monument Valley at a local place - real good food!

We’ve included a large collection of sample images from the exact locations we’ll be visiting. While nature always has the final say, depending on the cooperation of the sun, moon, and skies—this is what you can expect to capture.

These are some of the most photogenic landscapes in the United States. With our deep local knowledge, you won’t need to worry about logistics. Just bring your camera, and leave the rest to us.

We'll concentrate on sunrises, sunsets, night photography, and a few other breathtaking opportunities.

You don't have to be experienced - we will teach you on site during the trip!
