Photographing the Milky Way - 3 part class

Join 3 experienced Milky Way photographers as we take you on a journey…

Frank Kuszak, Jorge Restrepo and Stephen Weiss.

Learn the simple way to shoot and process Milky Way images.

Our 3 instructors will help you all the way with this process!

Equipment:

• A DSLR or camera with Manual modes.  We do not suggest point-and-shoot cameras.

• A wide-angle lens

• A very STURDY camera tripod – make sure you do not use a tripod with a single arm which is used for video.  You will not be able to angle the camera the correct way! – Call the store if you have questions.  THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!  If you need a tripod we will offer you 10% off after you sign up for the class.

• A remote for your camera – or just use the self-timer.

• A Knowledge of your camera is the dark.

o You must be able to set the ISO, aperture and shutter in the dark.

o If not bring a thick towel so you can put it over your camera and not ruin the other persons images from light bouncing into their cameras!

• WE WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH A RED VERY DIM LIGHT – FREE.

This is a 3-part class.

1. Zoom meeting with instructions being sent to you before we go photograph the sky!

2. 90 minutes of instruction while photographing the sky – Troy, Missouri on a private farm with very little sky light.  This is owned my one of our customers!

3. Editing class using LRC and Photoshop at the Photo Pros office.

As with any outdoor shoot, there is a possibility of clouds or rain, we will reschedule the class.  If you can’t make the actual night photography class…we will refund you $50!  You will learn a lot during the Zoom meeting and editing class (so no full refunds).

*All images by your instructors!
